Please be advised that to ensure a deep dive into these responsibilities, the comprehensive process of Passage Planning is covered in a separate, dedicated course.

Upon completion, you will be proficient in the core tasks that ensure a vessel’s compliance and safety. You will master the systematic correction of both paper and digital nautical charts and publications, learn the procedures for the regular testing and maintenance of all navigational and GMDSS equipment, and understand the responsibilities of managing the ship’s medical supplies. This training will solidify your watchkeeping skills and prepare you to handle the daily operational challenges of the role with confidence and professionalism.
